A tabloid rumor that Todd Palin is planning to divorce his wife Sarah Palin is getting more attention than one would normally expect from a National Enquirer headline. This is no doubt due to the hints of trouble in paradise that have plagued the couple for several months now.

Most recently, reports surfaced that Sarah Palin had a one-night stand with NBA star Glen Rice, and that she indulged in cocaine and marijuana. These stories and more -- including allegations of an affair with Todd Palin's business partner, Brad Hanson -- are included in the tell-all book: The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin, by Joe McGinniss, who lived next door the the Palins and interviewed several people who claim to have witnessed the real Sarah Palin firsthand.

The National Enquirer reported that sources close to Sarah and Todd Palin say he is ready to file for a divorce as he is fed up with the constant scandals that have followed the Alaskan family since Palin was thrust into the spotlight as John McCain's running mate in the 2008 Presidential election.

Sarah Palin has been destroyed by Joe McGinniss' no-holds-barred biography. It exposed all her lies, cover-ups and secrets, The Enquirer quotes a source close to Palin. As a result she has been told by her advisers that it would be political suicide to announce a White House candidacy. The press and her opponents would have a field day digging into the dirty details of her background.

Another friend told the National Enquirer: The final straw was McGinniss quoting Sarah's brother Chuckie telling a friend they don't have a marriage.

Todd felt as if he was stabbed in the back by his own brother-in-law after 23 years of being married to the guy's sister, and having five kids together.

McGinniss, who previously wrote a bestseller about Richard Nixon's 1968 presidential run, spent four months last year interviewing Palin's associates while living in a rented home right next to Sarah and Todd Palin's in Wasilla, Alaska.

Todd Palin spoke against the book -- and McGinniss -- on his Facebook page: This is a man who has been relentlessly stalking my family to the point of moving in right next door to us to harass us and spy on us to satisfy his creepy obsession with my wife, Todd Palin said in the statement. His book is full of disgusting lies, innuendo, and smears....Even The New York Times called this book 'dated, petty,' and that it 'chases caustic, unsubstantiated gossip.'

The Rogue isn't the only tell-all book that Palin's are facing now: Bristol Palin's ex-boyfriend (and baby's father) Levi Johnston authored Deer in the Headlines: My Life in Sarah Palin's Crosshairs, which was also released on Tuesday.

I want to tell the truth about my close relationship with the Palins . . . my sense of Sarah and my perplexing fall from grace -- how I feel and what I've learned. I'm doing this for me, for my boy Tripp and for the country, Johnston said in April in a statement released by his publisher, Touchstone Books.

In the book, Johnston accuses Bristol Palin of intentionally getting pregnant to spite her mother, and says that Sarah Palin had a cougar crush on him for years.

At least one person hopes the ongoing scandals don't prevent Sarah Palin from entering the presidential race: GOP candidate Mitt Romney told USA Today that he's like to see Palin throw her hat into 2012 presidential ring.

I think it would be a good thing if she did, Romney told USA Today. She would make the race that much more exciting, bring more people to watch the debates, and I hope she gets in.
