Sandusky Trial: Lawyer Says Call Gay Porn Hotline

The latest mishap in Jerry Sandusky's defense trial occurred Tuesday when lawyer Joe Amendola told reporters to call 1-800-REALITY, in what is actually a gay pornography phone line.

Amendola told reporters that if they believe Penn State assistant coach Mike McQueary's account of an alleged rape in 2002, then I suggest you dial 1-800-REALITY, according to Deadspin.

The International Business Times decided to call the phone number at Amendola's suggestion, and the phone line turned out to be a gay porn sex hotline.

When calling the number (we'd suggest not doing so at work) you get this response:

Hey guys, welcome to the hottest place for triple-X action. Get ready for bulging, bursting pleasure with horny gay, bi, and bi-curious studs. Just 99 cents per minute.

Amendola spoke with reporters after his client decided to waive his right to a pre-trial hearing and move straight to a trial. Many expected Sandusky and his lawyer to go forth with the hearing, but the accused child abuser decided to avoid the circus that developed around the hearing.

He told reporters that there will be no plea negotiations. He said that he plans to fight this to the death and suggested that Sandusky might have been victimized.

This latest doozy of a mistake for Amendola is just another in what is amounting to be a long list. Many have criticized the lawyer for his decision to allow Sandusky to make two interviews after the charges went public.

Both interviews were widely panned by critics that argued Sandusky was making the prosecution's job easier. He hesitated to deny his sexual attraction to young children; he admitted to showering with underage boys; and that he occasionally wrestled around with boys naked.

I have horsed around with kids, Sandusky told NBC News. I have showered after workouts. I have hugged them. And I have touched their leg without intent of sexual contact.

All of those admissions paint Sandusky in a negative light as he faces more than 40 charges and 360 years in prison for allegedly sexually molesting young boys.

Amendola has also been panned for impregnating and later marrying a 16-year old. He would later have another child with the woman before the two separated.
