Lisa Irwin and Unrelated Stabbing Incident
A man questioned in connection to the case of missing baby Lisa Irwin has been charged with first-degree assault in an unrelated incident. Dane "Diggler" Greathouse, 28, has been charged for stabbing Greg R. May this weekend in Gladstone, Mo. Baby Lisa's parents, Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley, claim missing baby Lisa was taken from her crib late Oct. 3, 2011 while Bradley was asleep and Irwin was at work. Baby Lisa Irwin has been missing for three months after mysteriously disappearing from her crib on Oct. 4, 2011. Her family's Kansas City attorney, John Picerno, said in a statement Tuesday that authorities have new information regarding missing baby Lisa Irwin.

Picerno told KCTV5 that investigators have several new leads, one of which is very promising. He continued to explain that both the FBI and the Kansas City police department are aware of the new developments. Picerno did not, however, elaborate on what information has been revealed or how he is aware of the inner workings of the investigation.

Authorities have not publicly commented on Picerno's statement. A spokesman for the Kansas City police department told KMBC-TV Monday that there are no new developments in the ongoing case. However, the same detectives who followed the case from the beginning remain on the investigation and it continues to be classified as a missing/abducted child case.

Investigators closed an outpost dedicated exclusively to solving baby Lisa's case in late November and authorities are now addressing the case in their main offices in Kansas City. Although Kansas City Police Capt. Steve Young insists the case is not closed, investigators have been encouraged to take on new cases due to a pile-up of child neglect and abuse cases. Young claims there are not enough resources to focus wholly on baby Lisa Irwin, especially as police have received fewer tips in the past few weeks compared with the previous several weeks.

The one-year-old's parents, Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin, believe Lisa Irwin was kidnapped late Oct. 4, but following two months of investigation requested that the media, the police and the public leave the family alone. Bradley and Irwin have remained out of public view since late November 2011.

According to reports from the family and sources involved, Jeremy Irwin, an electrician, returned home on Oct. 4 to find his daughter missing. He called 911 to report the disappearance of baby Lisa. A window and screen were tampered with, lights were left on, the family's front door was unlocked and three cell phones were missing. Deborah Bradley claimed she last saw her daughter at 10:30 p.m. before falling asleep in bed with her two sons. It was later discovered that there was a fire in a dumpster near the Bradley-Irwin home at 2:30 a.m. The Amber Alert was turned on and a local suburban landfill was searched for a body. Baby Lisa has not been seen since the night of Oct. 4.
