Singer Beyonce has given birth to a baby girl on Saturday that she and husband Jay-Z have named Blue Ivy Carter, according to E! Online. Initial reports were that the child was named Ivy Blue Carter. The baby girl was born in New York.
Sources told E! Online that Blue Ivy Carter was born through a C-section.
E! Online also reported that the name Blue Ivy Carter is what Jay-Z is reportedly telling his friends at this time.

Beyonce and Jay-Z got married in April 2008 after a reported six years of dating. The 30-year-old singer shared the news of her pregnancy with the world last August after performing at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The New York Daily News reported that the singer checked into New York's Lenox Hill hospital under the name "Ingrid Jackson" on Friday night. Reports also noted that singer and her husband spent a hefty $1.3 million to rent out the entire fourth floor of the hospital.
