HTC will release its second iteration of the aptly named Titan April 8, and the new Titan II LTE for AT&T will feature a huge 16 megapixel camera along with its giant 4.7-inch screen.

It's launching at $200 on contract, however, and the move will prompt plenty of head-scratching because another Microsoft-powered phone is coming out the same day for $100 less. Of course, HTC may not have been able to know how much the Nokia Lumia 900 would cost. To be fair, there are plenty of HTC fans out there, and many more who will go for the large screen and more traditional design.

There's much hype accompanying the Lumia 900, but there will soon be just as much for HTC's own One X when it comes to AT&T. What that means for the Titan II release is that HTC wants to maintain its relationship with Microsoft while building its new flagship phone (the One X) with Android. Besides, the original Titan could see a price drop when the Titan II comes out, so there are plenty of options for AT&T customers with this launch.
