Chelsea made a significant move in the transfer market on Wednesday as the European Champions have signed a top young playmaker.

Oscar, a 20-year-old Brazilian midfielder, has finally joined the Blues after about three weeks of speculation. The £25 million move from Internacional comes at a good time, as Oscar recently arrived in London as a member of the Brazilian Olympic team.

Oscar joined Internacional in Dec. 2010, and is a product of the Sao Paulo youth academy. Drawing comparisons to superstar Kaka, Oscar is considered a burgeoning talent in Brazil and can play either as an attacking midfielder or winger.

It's been a busy summer for the Blues. They previously made a splash by adding midfielders Marko Marin and Eden Hazard. Chelsea also added Hazard's younger and less heralded brother, Thorgan.

It doesn't look like Chelsea is done adding players. Daily Mail reported that Brazilian Willian remained hopeful of a move to Stamford Bridge despite Shakhtar Donetsk rejecting a Chelsea offer.

Tottenham are reportedly considering an offer for Willian. Shakhtar want £19 million for the 23-year-old, who has been with the club since 2007.

While the midfield might be over-crowded, Chelsea are still reportedly in the market for a forward. The Blues have been linked to Edison Cavani, Hulk, Rademel Falcao, and Demba Ba.

There have not been any recent reports of Chelsea stepping up their efforts for any of the four, but with the addition of Oscar, the Blues can shift their focus to a goal-scorer.

On July 17, The Sun reported that Chelsea were planning to pay a combined £60 million for Oscar and Cavani. The Express reported that Cavani is seeking wages of £150,000 per week.

The Blues have spent a great deal this summer, so it's possible that the Blues may not have the resources to add another high-priced star. Juventus and Manchester City have been linked to Cavini, as well.

Chelsea have been in the U.S. in recent days. The Blues played Paris Saint-Germain at Yankee Stadium in New York and face the MLS All-Stars at PPL Park in Philadelphia on Wednesday night.
