The Nokia Lumia 1020 under the AT&T network has apparently started receiving the Lumia Denim update. In addition to AT&T’s Lumia 1020 update, major Canadian carriers like Rogers and Telus have apparently rolled out the Lumia Denim update for their respective versions. Meanwhile, the stand out aspect of the Lumia 1020 is the humongous 41 MP PureView rear-facing camera unit. This main camera unit also bundles Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support and it comes with an aperture of f/2.2, notes Phone Arena.

Speaking of key features and changes from the Lumia Denim update, the Lumia 1020 now lets the users to enable virtual personal assistant Cortana by just uttering the words: "Hey, Cortana." In addition, this update reportedly allows Windows Phone 8.1 users to construct live folders. With the new update, the Lumia 1020 owners can create live folders by holding an app on the start screen and steering it above any other app.

The Lumia Denim update for Lumia 1020 also features MSN Weather, in addition to bringing in data from MSN Health and Fitness to the Glance screen. The Glance screen is the location where notifications and missed calls are indicated. To top it off, this firmware package also bring in the option of surfing via a virtual private network (VPN) by using the browser.

The firmware updates are usually sent in phases, and therefore, the Lumia 1020 owners are advised to wait patiently to get the notification on their handset. In the meantime, interested readers can do the following as Microsoft suggests:
