Welcome to Playa Escondida: The sun is out, the ocean is crystal blue -- and the men and women are hot! That’s right, “Bachelor in Paradise” is returning to Mexico for its second season, and the contestants are sexy, single and ready to mingle.

The two-night premiere begins Sunday, Aug. 2, with the infamous “Bachelor” cocktail party. As the cast -- featuring contestants from multiple seasons of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette -- roll in, the drinks will be flowing as everyone gets acquainted. Some may recognize each other from their respective seasons, while others will be exchanging names, and maybe even something more than that.

But as usual, someone will arrive to stir up trouble. In this case, trouble comes in the form of a “mystery woman.” Who is this mystery woman? And does she pose a threat to any connections already made? “Bachelor in Paradise” viewers will have to wait to find out, but one thing is certain: This mystery woman won’t be the only late arrival. Clare Crawley, the runner-up from Juan Pablo’s season and a cast member from Season 1 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” will make her triumphant return to Playa Escondida. She didn’t make a successful love connection last year, but that doesn’t mean she’ll be unlucky in love the third time around.

Unfortunately for one competitor, finding a beau is put on the back burner when she becomes ill. Things take an upsetting turn when the contestant is forced to leave the “Bachelor in Paradise” compound in an ambulance.

While the ill cast member is bound to leave the others solemn, the first night of the premiere will definitely have a happy ending. Fans will get to watch the wedding of Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd, Season 1 cast members who met and fell in love on the shores of Playa Escondida.

Season 2 stars Jillian Anderson, Dan Cox, Kirk DeWindt, Jared Haibon, Jonathan Holloway, Ashley Iaconetti, Juelia Kinney, John (JJ) Lane III, Tenley Molzahn, Jade Roper, Ashley Salter, Mikey Tenerelli, Tanner Tolbert and Carly Waddell, as well as Crawley.

The fun starts on ABC Sunday, Aug. 2, at 8 p.m. EDT. And the “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 2 premiere continues Monday, Aug. 3, at 8 p.m. EDT.
