Dylan (Max Thieriot) returns to White Pine Bay in Season 5, episode 7 of “Bates Motel.”

After reconnecting with Norman (Freddie Highmore) over the phone last episode, Dylan finally comes back home to know the truth about Norma’s (Vera Farmiga) death. While it remains to be seen how Norman will react when he sees his brother again after almost two years of estrangement, the preview clip for the episode does give fans a glimpse of Dylan’s first meeting with Madeleine (Isabelle McNally).

“Can I help you?” Dylan asks Madeleine when he bumps into her on his way to Norman’s house.

“My husband’s missing,” answers a worried Madeleine.

As viewers know, Norman brutally murdered Madeleine’s husband, Sam (Austin Nichols), at the end of last episode. And as the preview clip reveals, Norman gets help from Mother (Farmiga) to clean up the murder scene and dispose Sam’s body into a well. Despite their efforts to cover up the crime, Norman still gets a visit from Sheriff Jane Greene (Brooke Smith), who recovers multiple bodies from the lake not far from the motel.

Episode 7, according to the installment’s synopsis, also finds Romero (Nestor Carbonell) recuperating with the help of an old friend. Romero was last seen in Season 5, episode 5 getting some help from Maggie Summers (Jillian Farge), a character that was introduced back in Season 1.

For those who can’t remember, Maggie aided his brother Keith Summers (W. Earl Brown), Deputy Zack Shelby (Mike Vogel) and her boss Jake Abernathy (Jere Burns) with their sex slave business in Season 1. The Seafairer Motel and the house behind it had been owned by the Summers’ family for generations until it was lost to the bank, which sold it to Norma who renamed it Bates Motel.

At some point during the freshman run of the series, Maggie got a visit from Romero, who asked her something about her boss’ sex slave business. Despite Maggie’s involvement in the illegal business, Romero didn’t arrest her, so it wasn’t surprising that Maggie didn’t think twice to help the former sheriff of White Pine Bay when he came knocking at her door in Season 5, episode 5.

“Bates Motel” Season 5, episode 7, titled “Inseparable,” airs on Monday 10 p.m. EST on A&E.
