The 2017 BET Awards was a show filled with memorable moments and unforgettable performances, but in the midst of all the excitement, it is easy to miss some of the action as the night goes on. For those of you who may have overlooked some details from the eventful night, check out the top five moments you may have missed during the BET Awards.

1. Chance the Rapper Receives The Humanitarian Award

At the age of 24, Chance the Rapper is the youngest person to ever receive the Humanitarian Award. The rapper also picked up an award for Best New Artist, and was also nominated for Best Collaboration, Album of the Year and Best Male Hip-Hop Artist.

“I am 24 and to be receiving something like this at my age...it feels a little early to get something like this but my God doesn’t make mistakes and I like to think that he's putting this enormous pressure on me to see how I react,” the rapper stated during his award speech.

Born Chancelor Johnathan Bennett, the artist has donated $1 million to Chicago Public Schools and has helped raise an additional $2 million for the cause through his organization, Social Works.

2. Tributes to Prodigy

Prodigy, who made up one-half of Mobb Depp, passed away on June 20. Although his exact cause of death has yet to be revealed, the rapper was hospitalized for several days prior while battling sickle cell anemia.

Although the executives at the BET couldn’t pull together a tribute performance to honor the rapper out of fear they would upset other artists by changing their sets, they instead allowed his rap partner, Havoc, and Lil Kim to take a moment to acknowledge his passing while presenting the Best Male Hip-Hop award.

However, in a surprise twist, when Kendrick Lamar was named the winner of the award, the rapper took the stage and gave a special nod to Prodigy, who he credited with inspiring his first mixtape.

3. Migos Drama

Prior to walking into the Microsoft Theater for the award show, Migos did an interview with Everyday Struggle co-host Joe Budden. However, the rapper claimed the group was “a little too sassy” and he abruptly ended their interview, causing the group to get up. resulting which in security swarming the area to end the situation before things escalated.

Shortly after the show was over, the group got into an altercation with Chris Brown. Sources told TMZ, that while attending an after party, a member of the singer’s entourage pushed Quavo, which caused members Offset and Takeoff to intervene. Quavo is rumored to be dating Brown’s ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran and the singer is reportedly not happy about the new romance. Despite the altercation, things never got physical between Brown and members of Migos.

4. Remy Ma Keeping Nicki Minaj Feud Alive

Minaj lost Best Female Hip-Hop artist to Remy Ma, and the Bronx rapper made sure everyone knew who the queen of the night was. “Y’all some liars it ain’t no facts in your songs/And yeah that crown is coming back to the Bronx,” she rapped during her acceptance speech. Although she did not mention Minaj by name, it’s pretty clear who she is referring to due to her previous verse, when she rapped about butt injections, something she mentioned on her “ShETHER” diss record.

5. Bruno Mars

Mars opened up the show with an electrifying performance showing off his dance moves and getting the crowd pumped up for a night of entertainment. The singer basically turned his hit song “Perm,” from his album “24K Magic” into a mini concert, and even called out some audience members who were too busy on Instagram to actually enjoy the show. Performance aside, Mars also picked up his first ever BET Award for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.
