Beyonce has baby weight struggles just like every other woman who gives birth to their first child, and a month-and-a-half after Blue Ivy Carter was born the singer says she's eager to drop the extra pounds.

Though she looked great when she went out in public on Friday with husband Jay-Z and Blue Ivy Carter for the first time since the baby was born Jan. 7, sources close to Beyonce Knowles tell Closer Magazine she is frustrated that she can't shed her baby weight fast enough, according to the Yahoo! OMG! gossip site.

Even on Feb. 6, when she first appeared in public after becoming a new mom, Beyonce looked great, but that doesn't mean the diva isn't disappointed with her progress in getting rid of whatever minute amount of fat she put on while pregnant.

And despite working extra hard on her diet and fitness in order to get rid of the weight she's gained, she tells friends she just can't get rid of the weight as fast as she'd like.

Beyoncé's complaining that she's working her butt off in the gym, but not losing weight as fast as she'd hoped. She's doing an hour a day, which is about as much as she can do right now, a source told Closer. She looks great but she's a high achiever so wants to be back to a [UK] size 10 super-fast.

She may be looking to return to her pre-Blue Ivy Carter days in order to get ready to return to work in the next several months. A source even said she may attempt the maple syrup diet in 2006 that led her to lose more than 14 pounds in two weeks to prep for her role in the movie Dreamgirls, in which she was fabulously fit.

The diet worked for her before and she tries it every now and again when she needs a quick fix. But her nutritionist has warned her not to try anything drastic until three months after giving birth, the source told Closer. It's been hard for her. She's telling her inner circle, 'I guess I'm not one of these women that just ping back.'

But if Beyonce really wants to shed the baby weight, she may need to cut back on the pizza. She and Jay-Z traveled by Maybach from their Tribeca, Manhattan, home to Brooklyn's Lucali pizzeria in Carroll Gardens instead of attending the Grammy Awards on Feb. 12. She may want to try IHOP next time, and stick to the syrup.
