Beyonce was named World's Most Beautiful Woman Wednesday by People magazine, and that night the new mom stepped out and proved them right.
Beyonce stepped out with a fresh, natural face to attend a private dinner in New York City and was seen with little to no makeup on, a loose-fitting top and pants and her $660 Charlotte Olympia Kitty flats; baby Blue Ivy Carter has a matching $66 Marc Jacobs mouse pair.
Of course we have seen Beyonce in much more glamorous looks, but the pop diva's subdued look proves her recent title from People magazine and is how her husband, Jay-Z prefers her. The new mom also says the look is very functional.
I enjoy being a woman, I never thought there would be a day where I wouldn't wear heels, but now that I have a child and I walk around holding her all day, I'm buying loafers and oxfords, Beyonce told People magazine. Beyonce also doesn't seem to mind the natural look.
Every day in my life is a part of my history, and I've worked really hard on my career and my life, Beyonce said. So I make sure I wouldn't be upset if somebody saw me. I've been mostly wearing my hair slicked back in a ponytail and no makeup, just sunglasses and lip gloss.
When I've just gotten out of the shower, I feel really beautiful then, Beyonce said. When [my makeup] is off and I can feel my own skin.
And, of course, Beyonce's new role as mother to three-and-a-half month old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, makes her feel the most beautiful.
After many hours of labor, I didn't care how I looked, Beyonce said. It was all about the miracle that God gave me - the opportunity to deliver a human being. I feel more beautiful than I've ever felt because I've given birth. I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth.
