Whitney Houston would have turned 49 Thursday. Fans can celebrate with a Houston playlist, radio stations can honor the singer by featuring her hits, but her daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown is celebrating by getting a new tattoo in honor of her mother, who died Feb. 11 in the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Brown's new ink features a cursive "WH" and a few decorative doves etched in black ink on her wrist, Radar reports. Brown's boyfriend Nick Gordon had the same design tattooed on his wrist.

Starpulse reports Brown got the memorial tattoo on Wednesday in a parlor in Atlanta.

The 19-year-old has also used Twitter as a platform to remember her mom on her special day, tweeting, "Once it hits 12 am mommy it's your birthday & I am going2celebrate it2thee fullest! Bc YOU deserve it damn it, YOU deaerveNothingburtheBEST!"

Brown's ink session was reportedly taped so the footage can be used for a reality TV show on Lifetime that will follow Brown.

Houston's last film, "Sparkle," will be released Aug. 17. The film is a remake of the 1976 movie of the same name and follows the story of three sisters with dreams of becoming professional singers.
