U.S stocks fell on Friday as a production halt at Boeing Co, a Dow component, pressured the index, as investors awaited consumer sentiment data for more insight into the state of the economy.

The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI was down 30.61 points, or 0.33 percent, at 9,367.58. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX was down 3.05 points, or 0.30 percent, at 1,009.68. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC was down 9.05 points, or 0.45 percent, at 2,000.30.
