Brad Pitt reportedly threatened Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein after Gwyneth Paltrow, his girlfriend at the time, alleged the film producer harassed her. For the last week, Weinstien has battled an onslaught of sexual assault allegations, which stem from nearly three decades.

Paltrow was just one of several women who came forward and accused Weinstein of sexual harassment, with the actress telling the New York Times Tuesday Weinstein made unwanted advances on her in a hotel room when she was 22. The incident, which she alleged happened after the movie mogul hired her for "Emma," allegedly involved an unwanted massage.

Pitt, who had been romantically involved with Paltrow then, questioned Weinstein about the incident during a Hollywood event in 1995, a source said, according to People Wednesday.

"Brad threatened Harvey," the source said. "He got right in his face, poked him in the chest and said, 'You will not ever do this to Gwyneth ever again.'"

Pitt, a Springfield, Missouri native, "made it clear there would be consequences" if Weinstein confronted Paltrow again and threatened to give him a "Missouri whooping," the source told People.

"He made it absolutely clear this was not going to happen again and it didn’t," explained the source.

After Pitt warned Weinstein, Paltrow told the New York Times that the movie mogul contacted her and urged her not to share what had happened.

"I thought he was going to fire me," she told the publication. "He screamed at me for a long time. It was brutal."

Pitt went on to do "Inglorious Bastards" with Weinstein in 2009, but claimed it was strictly based on his relationship with director Quentin Tarantino, the source told People.

Another one of Pitt's former flames, actress Angelina Jolie, also came forward.

"I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth, and as a result, chose never to work with him again and warn others when they did," Jolie told the New York Times in an email. "This behavior towards women in any field, any country is unacceptable."

The New Yorker on Tuesday released a report that included multiple allegations of sexual assault. The report also contained several accounts of sexual harassment stemming from the 1990s, with women detailing Weinstein’s threats.

Apparently, Weinstein’s behavior was known among Hollywood celebrities. When comedian Seth MacFarlane announced Oscar nominees in 2013, he teased, "Congratulations, you five ladies no longer have to pretend to be attracted to Harvey Weinstein." The audience could be heard chuckling.
