Brian Williams-Edward Snowden Interview Promo Picture Mocked On Twitter [PHOTO]

NBC News is drumming up publicity for Brian Williams’ exclusive interview with former NSA contractor Edward Snowden with this interesting photo with Williams eyeing the camera and Snowden doing his best GQ pose:

The interview is scheduled to air Wednesday, May 28, at 10 p.m. EDT. NBC News said the Snowden sit-down, conducted in Moscow, was a wide-ranging, hourslong conversation and “shrouded in secrecy due to Snowden’s life in exile since leaking classified documents about U.S. surveillance programs a year ago.”

Snowden was granted temporary asylum in Russia last summer after the U.S. government charged him with espionage and revoked his passport. The former NSA contractor has been viewed as a whistleblower by supporters and a traitor by the government.

Snowden’s expression has been the butt of jokes on Twitter:
