Everybody loves a good celebrity scandal and who better to stir up one than Charlie Sheen. The Two and a Half Men star's rant on 'The Alex Jones Show' has opened up a can of worms. As Sheen goes on with a series of interviews, the internet has erupted with responses to the 45-year-old actor's controversial statements.

Social media platforms are 'atwitter' with commentary on Sheen's escapades. While micro-bloggers are busy posting reactions - ranging from humorous to extremely criticial - on Twitter, entertaining photo blogs of cats quoting Charlie Sheen's statements have also emerged. The popular video sharing website YouTube has also become host to a slew of interesting visual takes on the scandal-prone actor's remarks.

Cats

Over the past few months, it has been established that cats dominate the internet for several reasons. All kinds of media such as videos and photos of the feline creatures flood the world wide web. Now, the latest controversy stirred by Charlie Sheen has inspired the cat bloggers to render a funny picture to the whole row.

The trend of combining a photograph of a cat with text, which is often idiosyncratic and grammatically incorrect, is popularly referred to as 'Lolcat' by the netizen community. The term 'Lolcat' comes from the acronymic abbreviation 'LOL' merged with the word 'cat' and is synonymous with 'cat macro.'

A Wordpress blog, called Medium Large, features a page full of cats quoting Charlie Sheen. The quotes taken verbatim from Charlie Sheen's recent radio interview on The Alex Jones Show include: My motto now is you either love or hate and you must do so violently, and Look what I'm dealing with, man. I'm dealing with fools and trolls. It's just strafing runs in my underwear before my first cup of coffee.

The LOLcat edition of the Charlie Sheen rant has turned extremely popular on the internet.

Twitter

Twitter has been abuzz with reactions to Charlie Sheen's latest row since the Alex Jones interview. The microblogging site was flooded with criticism against Piers Morgan after his interview with Sheen. On the CNN's 'Piers Morgan Tonight', the interrogator was accused of taking a softer tone with the celebrity he has prior history of being chummy with. Tweeps were not impressed with Morgan pussyfooting around serious issues.

As Sheen goes on giving more interviews and making more controversial statements, reactions on Twitter are coming faster and stronger than ever.

kh_94‎ posted, Charlie Sheen was just on the news and they showed snippets of his interviews and... Wow. He is absolutely disgusting.

LauraNoblejas‎ wrote, Far out - Charlie Sheen needs to take a long hard look at himself!

Charlie Sheen is starting to freak me out like that homeless guy that comes up to you on the street rambling, tweeted BLone American.

With Sheen reigning the topics list, hashtags such as '#UnrestinSheen' have been formed.

Videos

The popular video sharing website, YouTube, is also flooded with videos of Charlie Sheen. YouTube Trends reported, a search for 'Charlie Sheen' delivers more than 1,400 results from just the past week.

While a large fraction of the videos on the actor are news footage or scandalous clips, a few video paradies have emerged.

Some are more elaborate, like NMAWorldEdition, the popular CGI animators from Taiwan that have built a global following, the Trends report, which also features playlists with eight clips from the past few days, added.

Slate V, the online video edition of the liberal online magazine Slate, has put up an animated clip of Charlie Sheen's rant.
