Even though Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran were both at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles to attend the BET Awards on Sunday, the former couple was kept far away from each other throughout the night. The two had no contact with one another even though later on in the night, the star’s ex-boyfriend and new beau, Quavo from the Migos rap group got into an altercation.

Both Tran and Brown attended the show, she as a presenter and he as a performer. Although they both took the stage at some point during the evening, they were never within 100 yards of one another, according to TMZ.

When the “Party” singer hit the stage to perform, Tran was moved to a holding room backstage. While there, sources revealed the “Claws” actress did not watch her ex-boyfriend’s performance.

The actress agreed to attend the award ceremony almost two months ago because she wanted to promote her new series on TNT. She committed herself to appear at the award show while she was in the middle of going to court to get a judge to approve her restraining order after Brown threatened her life.

During the course of their relationship, Tran told a judge that Brown has punched her in the stomach twice and threw her down the stairs. Following their break up, the star began receiving threats from the singer, demanding she return items he purchased for her.

He also allegedly began telling people that he would take her out and if he couldn’t have her, no one could. While testifying against him in court, the actress told a judge that Brown threatened to make her life hell.

“I’m not being nice to you no more, if I see you out in public again and I’m there I will make you hate me even more, don’t be anywhere I’m out in public, I’m going to ban you from all events,” Brown wrote in a text message to Tran.

Although Tran was granted a restraining order against Brown, it doesn’t protect her new boyfriend who got into an altercation with the “Privacy” singer’s entourage while attending an after party following the BET Awards.

Tensions ran high when Brown, who reportedly already holds animosity towards Quavo for dating Tran, premiered a new music video at a venue in downtown Los Angeles.

The Migos were entering the venue when they came face to face with Brown and his entourage. Sources told TMZ that a member of Brown’s team pushed Quavo, and one of the Migos members attempted to defend him but was punched in the process.

As the madness happened, Brown leaned on a car nearby before eventually leaving the building. However, his exit wasn’t smooth. The singer was reportedly followed to his vehicle by the Migos and several of their friends but they eventually let him go and no one was harmed.

Despite the drama that took place, the actress didn’t seem bothered about the night’s events. On Monday and Tuesday, she shared some photos and videos on Instagram of herself attending the award show and even made light of her time on stage when she almost fell and the weird faces she made on the red carpet.

Brown and Migos have yet to acknowledge their confrontation following their run in on Sunday.
