After months of going back and forth to court, Karrueche Tran finally obtained a restraining order against ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. A judge granted the “Claws” actress’ request, forcing Brown to stay away from his ex-girlfriend for the next five years.

Tran headed to court on Thursday where she revealed details about her relationship with Brown along with the threats she has received from him since the romance ended.

During her testimony, the model said that after she split from the “Privacy” singer, he demanded she return the diamond rings he brought her during their relationship. When she refused, he began to threaten her, according to TMZ.

“I’m not being nice to you no more, if I see you out in public again and I’m there I will make you hate me even more, don’t be anywhere I’m out in public, I’m going to ban you from all events,” Brown wrote in a text message to Tran.

The “Party” artist went on to tell Tran if she did not return his rings, “I’m going to hurt your limbs,” according to E! News. Tran admitted that she lied to Brown about her possession of the rings to get him to stop his threats but it didn’t work.

“I was tired of dealing with him, so I just said I sold them already so he’d leave me alone,” she explained. The violent threats persisted with Brown texting Tran telling her he would make her life hell and would beat her.

During the cross-examination, Brown’s attorney asked Tran why she would lie about selling the rings and the star revealed she never had any intention of giving them back because they were her property.

He also asked why Tran never contacted the authorities over Brown’s abusive behavior. However, the actress insisted that she remained in fear for her life and needed a permanent restraining order.

Tran first attempted to get a restraining order in February when she told a judge that she was receiving death threats from her ex-boyfriend and was afraid that he would kill her.

“The Bay” actress also alleged that Brown had gotten violent with her in the past. In the documents, Tran stated that her former beau has punched her in the stomach and pushed her down the stairs.

At the time, she said that Brown threatened to “take me out” and told her if he couldn’t have her, no one else would. The singer allegedly began to harass Tran’s friends as well and threatened to hurt them. She confided in her close pals that she was afraid he was going to kill her.

Despite her victory in court, the actress made no mention of the restraining order on social media. On Friday, Tran shared a photo on Instagram showing off her glam look. “Today,” she captioned the photo.

Brown, who was not present in court, did not acknowledge the restraining order on Instagram either. Instead, he teased fans with a clip of new music featuring Jhene Aiko.

Now that the legal process is over for the moment, Brown and Tran can focus on their crafts rather the drama with each other.
