After rain threatened to wash out play on the evening before the match, the sun is up and shinning at Mohali and the crunch World Cup semi-final clash between India and Pakistan is expected to start as scheduled.

However, the Meteorological Department did mention a slight possibly of lights rain in the evening, during the match. Even if the match is called off though, there is a reserve day (Thursday) play can resume.

The Meteorological Department forecasted a slightly overcast day with chances of light showers in the evening. The forecast also said there could be a dust storm in few areas of the state of Punjab.

The Mohali pitch curator, Daljit Singh, has said that the ball is likely to seam around under the flood lights.
