The competition on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” is heating up and the cast is quickly dwindling down.

On Tuesday a second couple will be sent home, leaving just 11 pairs to compete for the highly coveted mirror ball trophy. After three weeks on the show fans can tell which teams are improving and which are floundering. Performances on Monday highlighted both the strong and weak performers on the cast as the novice dancers faced off against one another. The winner of each performance was granted immunity, which means fans can rest assured that Jana Kramer; Vanilla Ice; James Hinchcliffe; Calvin Johnson Jr.; Maureen McCormick; and Laurie Hernandez will be returning to the ballroom in week 4. The other six performers, however, are on the chopping block.

Heading into the first round of eliminations on Sept. 20, many fans were certain about which teams were in danger. Gov. Rick Perry and partner Emma Slater’s two under whelming performances and low scores made them a shoe-in for the first cut. Perhaps that’s why fans were so shocked when their names were called as the first safe “DWTS” couple. At the end of the night it was Jake T. Austin who was sent packing with a score of just 46 from week 1 and 2 collectively.

Which pairs do we think will be sent home during week three of “DWTS”? Check it out:

Gov. Rick Perry and Emma Slater:

During Monday’s show Rick and Emma suited up in more campy country costumes to face off with Vanilla Ice and Witney Carson doing a paso doble routine. Despite an ankle injury, the Texas governor gave the performance the old college try, tying with the “Ice Ice Baby” singer. A tie breaker put Vanilla Ice on top, leaving Rick up for elimination. While it is noble of Rick to appear on the show to represent wounded soldiers, his lack of improvement in the last three weeks is under whelming. The pair scored 23 out of 40 points for their week 3 performance.

Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke:

The Olympic swimmer and his partner were selected to do a dance off against James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess — a team who’s been doing far better on the show. The teams were given a cha-cha, which they worked long and hard to nail down during practices. Lochte’s focus, determination and bare abs weren’t enough to wow the judges, leaving him and Cheryl in danger of being eliminated for a second week in a row. The pair scored just 25 out of 40 possible points.

Amber Rose and Maksim Chmerkovskiy:

Amber Rose is working hard to wow judges and fans during her time on “DWTS,” but continues to score low due to technical errors during her performances. On Monday she and Maksim took to the ballroom for a salsa against Maureen McCormick and Artem Chigvintsev. Although they were able to stay true to themselves during the dance, the former “Brady Bunch” star pulled out a score of 28 out of 40 to Amber and Maks’ 25. The duo were in danger of being eliminated during Week 2 and we fear that unless they can score significant numbers with voting viewers that Tuesday may be their final night on “DWTS.”

Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Terra Jolé, Marilu Henner and their respective partners are also in danger, but we predict their dedication, previous scoring and standing with viewers will save them.

Tune in to “DWTS” Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT to find out for sure which teams are safe and which is heading home.
