Will Steve (Stephen Nichols) ever be able to find Kayla (Mary Beth Evans)? Ava (Tamara Braun) is not making it easy for him on “Days of Our Lives.”
The Steve, Kayla and Ava love triangle continued Tuesday on the NBC soap opera. Ava kidnapped Steve’s wife, and he’s been unable to track her down. But Ava agreed to tell Steve where she’s been keeping Kayla. That is, if he does whatever she asks.
A committed husband, Steve is willing to do whatever it takes to get her back. But will he go as far as to make love to Ava? That’s exactly what Ava demands from him.
Tuesday’s installment of “Days of Our Lives” began with Steve telling Ava that he wants to work with her to find their son and make their family whole. However, in order to search for their child, she needs to let Kayla go. Unfortunately for Steve, Ava doesn’t believe him. She tells him that he needs to earn her trust.
“Make love to me, now,” she says. “And then I’ll tell you where your precious wife is.”
With no other choice, Steve agrees to Ava’s demand. But he has a request of his own. He doesn’t want Joey (James Lastovic) to walk in on them. Ava’s not interested in compromise though. She promises that if they make love right then and there that she’ll release Kayla. However, afterwards he has to go with her to find their son. And if he doesn’t, then Ava will tell Kayla everything.
The two start getting hot and heavy, but as Steve predicted, Joey walks in.
“Oh my god,” he says when he catches his father with Ava. “I’m going to puke.”
Steve is horrified, but Kayla couldn’t care less. And that’s what sets Steve off. He grabs her neck and begins to choke her. But Ava knows that he doesn’t have it in him to kill her.
“Do it,” she gasps. “I’m already dead. If I go so does she.”
Steve releases her after realizing that Ava is his only chance at getting Kayla back. However, that doesn’t stop Ava from playing games with him. She decides to make a new deal. If Steve goes with her to Indonesia to find their son then she’ll call Joey and tell him where he can find Kayla.
Tuesday’s episode of “Days of Our Lives” ends with Kayla in a room yelling for help and collapsing. Will Steve be able to find her in time? Or is it already too late?
That’s not the only drama going on in Salem. Theresa (Jen Lilley) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) finally tell Kate (Lauren Koslow) that they are leaving Basic Black to start their own line. And while Kate agrees to the buy out, the women might be facing other issues. Theresa is unhappy that Nicole ignored her and asked Brady (Eric Martsolf) to be a partner. She’s also not thrilled that the two appear to be bonding after the death of Daniel (Shawn Christian).
"Days of Our Lives" airs on NBC Monday through Friday at 1 p.m. EST.
