Is it Friday already? Xur is back in “Destiny,” and he’s got some new items for the three-day period of Jan. 2-4.

It’s been nearly one week since a number of online attacks took down PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, and “Destiny” developer Bungie allowed the Agent of Nine to stay an extra day in the Tower last week.

This week, Xur can be found in the Tower Hangar.

Many players had problems accessing “Destiny” on the PlayStation Network, Bungie said via Twitter last week. On Dec. 25, a group of hackers known as Lizard Squad claimed responsibility for taking PSN and Xbox Live offline, and Sony Corp. is still having problems with Bungie’s shooter on the PlayStation 3 and PS4 consoles.

“Destiny” currently has more than 9.5 million registered users playing an average of three hours a day, according to its publisher’s quarterly report. It reportedly set a record for most initial sales in the first 24 hours of a franchise’s debut.
