Blizzard Entertainment just dropped more details about the upcoming Necromancer Update for “Diablo 3.” The publisher also revealed the things that will come with the new content patch for “Diablo III: Reaper of Souls” and the “Ultimate Evil Edition.”

On Tuesday, Blizzard published The MeleeMancer Update on its blog for all things Diablo. The article is obviously named as such, for it presents the new skills players will see when the Necromancer Update arrives. For example, there’s the Grim Scythe skill that makes use of a long scythe with a wide arc. The generator ability damages enemies quite well. There’s also Blood Nova, which is one of the five skill runes for the Death Nova skill. It does not come as a surprise that it causes impressive damage. However, players should know that this requires the use of the player’s Health and Essence.

Want to go hardcore and eat corpses of your foes? The Necromancer Update will come with Devour, a skill that lets players regain their Essence by eating the corpses of the enemies. The skill has a rune called Cannibalize that will work well with Blood Nova since it helps players regain Health.

The MeleeMancer Update also teases the below concept art for the female necromancer model.

Blizzard also outed some very important information about the Necromancer Update. Apparently, Necromancer will not be part of an expansion pack, and will instead debut as part of a content pack. This paid DLC comprises the Necromancer class, an in-game pet, two additional character slots, cosmetic wings, pennant, a portrait frame, a banner, a banner sigil and two additional stash tabs for the PC version of the game.

On top of the paid content, Blizzard is also launching a free content patch for “Reaper of Souls” and the “Ultimate Evil Edition.” This major patch will come with Challenge Rifts, two new zones and many more.

The Necromancer Update does not have a price yet, and Blizzard has yet to give it a release date as well. However, the publisher admitted that the developers are targeting a second half release this 2017. Check out more info about the update here.
