Gavin Rossdale was announced as one of the brand new coaches for the upcoming Season 6 of “The Voice UK.” Although this is the first time the Bush frontman is going to sit in one of the iconic giant spinning chairs, he actually appeared as one of the advisors of his ex-wife Gwen Stefani’s team in Season 7 of NBC’s “The Voice.” So, did Rossdale get any tip from Stefani who served as a coach on the U.S. reality singing competition for two seasons?

The Sunday Times Style magazine recently asked that question to Rossdale, and the rocker’s answer suggested that the exes have stopped discussing their careers with each other since their split.

“You know... We just... It’s really about focusing on the kids. That’s our thing,” said Rossdale said.

Rossdale and Stefani have three sons together: Kingston, 10, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2. In his interview with the U.K. magazine, the English musician said that his love for his children had helped him a lot to move on from the divorce.

“I’ve got to move on. Everyone has got to move on. For me, it’s just thinking about the boys and how to prioritize them,” he said. “That’s the driving force behind everything.”

Rossdale continued, “I have an incredible life with them, and that’s what matters. You can’t keep up with all the vitriol. Just don’t get into all that. [I like Twitter] and I want to be active, but it’s a case of not worrying about the miscellaneous 15-year-old from Ohio with an opinion. It doesn’t matter.”

Stefani filed for divorce from Rossdale in August 2015, citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce was finalized in April 2016.

“While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment,” Rossdale and Stefani said in a joint statement to Us Weekly, announcing their split.

In addition to Rossdale, Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson also signed up as a coach in the upcoming season of “The Voice UK.” According to Billboard, Rossdale and Hudson will join Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am — who has been on all five seasons of the hit singing competition — and legendary crooner Tom Jones, who won the inaugural season of the show.
