Is Perrie Edwards still not over her ex-fiancé Zayn Malik?

It’s been two years since Edwards and Malik split, but she may have yet to completely forgive the former One Direction singer who allegedly cheated on her while they were together. A fan who attended Little Mix’s concert in New Zealand over the weekend claimed that Edwards took a jab at Malik and his new girlfriend, Gigi Hadid.

In this video shared on Twitter, Little Mix was performing their hit song, “Shout Out to My Ex.” When the lyrics “I hope she getting’ better sex / Hope she ain’t fakin’ it like I did, babe” came up, Edwards reportedly changed the words to: “Hope she ain’t fakin’ it like Hadid.” In the clip, Edwards’ bandmate Jade Thirlwall laughed after she sang the lyric.

Malik’s and Edwards’ respective followers immediately came to their defense. The supporters of the One Direction heartthrob called Edwards immature. Meanwhile, her fans denied that she changed the lyrics, reasoning that Edwards’ voice just cracked and that was why it sounded like “Hadid,” E! News reported.

Edwards has not yet commented on the issue.

Meanwhile, Edwards previously opened up about her split from Malik. She said that she was brokenhearted when Malik dumped her. And to make the matters worse, she found herself “homeless” after they separated. “After I split with my partner, out of the blue, I had nowhere to go, which was incredibly stressful. For a while I had no idea what to do,” Edwards said, Daily Mail reported. “I thought about renting, but I’ve got dogs and cats, so that was no good. At the time we were promoting ‘Black Magic,’ and while I was in America, things really hit me and I panicked. I realized I was homeless. I was crying every day, dreading coming back.”

Edwards was also hurt because of how the singer chose to end things with her. According to her, Malik just split with her through text. “It was horrible, the worst time in my life. A four-year relationship, two-year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that,” she shared.

There were some speculations that Little Mix’s “Shout Out to My Ex” was Edwards’ song for Malik. Teen Vogue noted that the music video for the song featured a man who looked like Malik being literally left in the dust.
