Dua Lipa is telling fans to “get a grip” after rumors surfaced that she has broken her “new rules” and gotten back in touch with ex-boyfriend Isaac Carew.

Dua, 22, reportedly broke up with LANY frontman and boyfriend of five months Paul Klein earlier this month. However, while many of her fans were heartbroken over the news, this wasn’t what caused a frenzy on Twitter and caused fans of the English singer-songwriter to call her out this week. It was the rumor that the “New Rules” hitmaker may have reached out to her celebrity chef and model ex, Carew, shortly after parting ways with Klein that had fans freaking out.

Dua may have finally gotten fed up with people calling her out for not taking her own advice to cut off all contact with exes in her song, “New Rules.” On Wednesday, she had a savage comeback to one fan who tweeted that she broke her own rule about tweeting ex-lovers. "Sis u broke the new rules,” wrote Twitter user @lordemma (via Evening Standard).

Check out what Dua had to say to the fan below:

Dua began dating Klein last year after they met at the British Summertime gigs in London’s Hyde Park in the summer. However, it seems it wasn’t mean to be as they apparently broke up this month. “Dua and Paul had a really good time together but things just didn’t work out,” an insider told The Sun of the ex-couple.

As for why she reportedly started messaging her ex again, the source claimed that Dua began missing Carew after breaking up with Klein.

“The breakup [with Klein] has brought back memories of Isaac, who she split with this time last year. She has been messaging him again but she has been out of the country for the last few weeks so they haven't seen each other,” the source continued.

Whether or not she has gotten back in touch with Carew, Dua is making sure to be productive despite nursing a broken heart. According to the insider, the up-and-coming artist, who was hailed most streamed female artist in the UK for 2017, has been busy working on her next album.

“She is very positive about the situation though, and has been pouring her emotions into her new album, which she has been writing in Jamaica and Los Angeles,” the source said.
