Economic slowdown lowers Microsoft revenues
On Monday Microsoft's Chief Executive Steve Ballmer said revenues will be impacted by the economic slowdown.
Revenues in our industry, and in our company, will be affected by the economic conditions, Ballmer said in an interview with Reuters TV on sidelines of Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona.
Last month on January 22 Microsoft shocked Wall Street with disappointing results and announced its plans to lay off up to 5,000 employees.
According to reports Ballmer also warned that profit and revenue is very likely to fall in the next two quarters.
