El DeBarge, the singer who is famously known for the song Rhythm of the Night, was arrested for drug possession with the intent to sell in Los Angeles on Monday, and has since been released on $30,000 bail.

Police told the media that DeBarge, whose real name is Eldra DeBarge, was arrested at 2 p.m. that day in Encino, Calif. DeBarge is due back in court on April 9, according to E! Online.

This isn't the first time that the singer was arrested for drug possession. It is in fact his third time since 2001.

E! News also reported that the singer's rap sheet dates back to the mid-1980s and includes arrests for domestic violence and vandalism. Four years ago DeBarge got a two-year's sentence because of a drug bust.

TMZ reported that the singer's brother, Chico, is serving time for assault with a deadly weapon and drug charges.
