“Fantastic Beasts” actor Ezra Miller may be struggling to stay out of trouble as he was once again arrested this week in Hawaii after allegedly injuring a random partygoer.
The 29-year-old celebrity reportedly got arrested at around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at a traffic stop due to suspicion of second-degree assault. He had just left a party at a private residence, and authorities said he caused a commotion during his exit, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
Police said Miller had been asked to leave the private gathering, causing him to become annoyed. He allegedly threw a chair, and it accidentally hit an unnamed woman who was left with a cut on her forehead.
“Shortly after 1 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, a 29-year-old visitor from Vermont was arrested for second-degree assault after an incident at a residence,” the Hawaii Police Department said in a statement obtained by Deadline.
The statement continued, “During the course of their investigation, police determined that the individual, later identified as Ezra Miller, became irate after being asked to leave and reportedly threw a chair, striking a 26-year-old female on the forehead, resulting in an approximate half-inch cut.”
Authorities located Miller during a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 130 and Kukula Street in Kea‘au. The “Flash” star was released at 4:05 a.m. shortly after having his mugshot taken. Police clarified that he was freed “pending further investigation” into the incident.
A few weeks ago, Miller also got arrested and was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment after an incident in a karaoke bar in Hilo. On March 28, he got escorted by police after yelling obscenities and grabbing a microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke. He also allegedly lunged at a 32-year-old man who was playing darts at the same bar.
Miller was released after being charged and posting bail. However, just a day after, a Hawaiian couple filed a restraining order against him, claiming that he had burst into their bedroom and threatened to kill them. He also allegedly stole some of their belongings, including a wallet and a passport. The order was dismissed on April 13 at the request of the unnamed couple.
The actor currently stars in “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” which premiered earlier this month. His standalone DC Comics movie “The Flash” is set to hit cinemas on June 23, 2023.
Variety reached out to Warner Bros. and Miller’s representatives for comment on his second arrest, but they did not immediately respond.
