While members of Fifth Harmony have continued to put on a united front since Camila Cabello left the group in December 2016, recent interviews seem to fuel ongoing rumors the group is headed for a split.

Singers Lauren Jauregui and Normani Kordei have already expressed their interest in taking on solo projects, and it looks like Dinah Jane Hansen has jumped on the bandwagon.

During an interview with Flaunt magazine, the “Down” singer admitted she was once afraid to work on solo music because she wasn’t sure she would be good at it.

“Sometimes when you sing someone else’s song over and over again or songs that have been given to you, you’re afraid to go out there and write one yourself,” she explained.

However, Jane was eventually able to conquer her fears once she got out of her own head.

“You start to question, ‘Well, I don’t know if my music will be as perfect as these songs I’m given. I don’t know if what I have to offer is worth radio play,’ But when you’re able to escape that mindset, the process becomes easier because it’s super authentic and real,” the “Boom Boom” singer said.

“I feel like there’s something in me that desires to express myself even more and not be so afraid of a solo endeavor,” she added.

While Jane feels like she is finally ready to sing songs on her own, in a separate interview, Cabello admitted that she has no desire to sing Fifth Harmony’s songs now that she has written her own music.

While chatting with NME, the “Havana” artist was asked if she would ever perform 5H songs on her tour. “No… no, definitely not,” she said.

Even though the media outlet pushed for more details suggesting maybe she would reinvent her group songs, Cabello maintained she will not be taking the stage to belt out old Fifth Harmony songs anytime soon.

“I honestly have never even thought about that. I don’t know, I feel like this is such a new… chapter of me,” she stated.

Cabello went on to explain when people hear her name, she wants it to give them an “unexpected and unpredictable” feeling.

Although she has released several hit records with her former group, it’s clear she doesn’t believe songs she once sang with Fifth Harmony will give her fans the same sentiment.
