Dakota Johnson has several movies lined up after she finishes filming the “Fifty Shades” series, but she’s just added another movie to her resume. It was revealed on Friday that Johnson has signed on to star in a film with “It Follows” director David Robert Mitchell.

While the plot for the thriller “Under the Silver Lake” is unknown, it has been announced that Johnson will co-star with Andrew Garfield (“The Amazing Spider-Man“). Variety reports the film is due to begin production this summer in Los Angeles. Michael De Luca Productions, the same company which produced 2015’s “Fifty Shades of Grey,” is heading the project and A24 has acquired the rights. The movie’s IMDb profile reveals it is scheduled for a 2017 release.

As Johnson, 26, continues filming the final installments of the “Fifty Shades” romance films, she also has two other movies lined up. The horror “Suspiria,” which follows a ballet dancer who discovers something sinister is happening at her new ballet academy, is currently in pre-production. Tilda Swinton also stars. Johnson has also been linked to “The Sound of Metal,” a musical drama led by Darius Marder.

“Under the Silver Lake” isn’t Johnson’s first dive into a mystery genre. In the recently released crime-drama “A Bigger Splash,” which also stars Swinton, Johnson plays a woman who turns a rock star and her lover’s lives upside down.

Before moviegoers can see Johnson star alongside Garfield, they’ll see her return to her famed “Fifty Shades” character Ana Steele. The actress will continue her character’s BDSM love story alongside Jamie Dornan’s character Christian Grey in two sequels. The first, “Fifty Shades Darker,” premieres in February 2017. The third and final installment, “Fifty Shades Freed,” follows in February 2018.

“It is going to be interesting to go back and develop characters further and the story. It’s sort of like a thriller now and it kinda gets scary and it’s awesome,” Johnson previously teased of the forthcoming installment. New characters will join the final two films, including Oscar winner Kim Basinger, who will portray Christian’s former lover turned business partner and actress Bella Heathcote, who has signed on to star as Christian’s disturbed ex submissive.
