Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) discovers the connection between Doctor Alchemy and Savitar in a sneak peek from Season 3, episode 7 of “The Flash.”
In the clip, Caitlin — who has gone full-on Killer Frost — threatens a detainee at the Central City Police Department to reveal where Doctor Alchemy is. The captive, however, refuses to answer her question, and instead, comments about her being scared of her own powers.
“I sense great fear in you. You fear your power, your own greatness,” the detainee tells Caitlin.
Pissed off at what she heard, Caitlin asks him again about Doctor Alchemy’s whereabouts, but this time, in a more aggressive way.
Although the detainee remains mum about Doctor Alchemy’s location, he does reveal the kind of relationship the sorcerer has with Savitar.
“The only one I fear is that whom Alchemy serves, the dark lord Savitar,” the detainee says.
As to why Caitlin is looking for Doctor Alchemy in the episode, Panabaker told TVLine, “I don’t know that she has a ‘beef’ with Alchemy; I think she is looking to him for answers. Alchemy is still sort of this unknown to Team Flash, but he seems to have some ability to manipulate powers or change metahumans, and Caitlin wants to know more.”
In a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly, Panabaker said that Savitar “is present in the episode” but didn’t confirm for sure whether Caitlin will come face to face with the pointy speedster.
“Typically he is always there, and they are always afraid of him,” Panabaker said of the god of motion. “You can look forward to some interaction between Savitar and a version of Caitlin, if you will.”
