Keiynan Lonsdale as Kid Flash
The synopsis for Season 3, episode 6 of “The Flash” teased that Wally West may be getting his super speed from Doctor Alchemy. The CW

Doctor Alchemy may be granting Wally’s (Keiynan Lonsdale) ultimate wish of becoming a speedster.

According to the synopsis for Season 3, episode 6 of “The Flash,” Wally starts having dreams about being Kid Flash — his superhero alter ego in the Flashpoint timeline. When Barry (Grant Gustin) learns about Wally’s visions, he realizes that he has to reveal Wally’s Flashpoint identity to Iris (Candice Patton), Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and to Wally himself before something bad happens to him.

As revealed in past episodes of the season, Doctor Alchemy is turning everyone who had powers in the Flashpoint timeline into a metahuman of sort through a mysterious process that is yet to be revealed. Edward Clariss (Todd Lasance) and Frankie Kane (Joey King) were the first two individuals who were given powers by Doctor Alchemy. Edward became the speedster The Rival while Frankie was turned into Magneto-like metahuman named Magenta.

Both Edward and Frankie had visions of other life before Doctor Alchemy gave them powers, so it probably just a matter of time before Doctor Alchemy finds Wally and grant him super speed.

“I started having dreams of Magenta. There are more than dreams,” Frankie explained of how she started to get her powers. “It was like I was living another life or something, and then I started getting them all the time, [even] during the day. And the more it happened, the more painful they became. Then I started hearing a voice. It was a man named Alchemy. He said he could give me what I wanted and make me powerful again.”

In Season 2, episode 3, entitled “Magenta,” Wally actually told Jesse (Violett Beane) in passing that he has dreamt of becoming a speedster. While it’s unclear whether Wally was being literal when he said that, it suggests that Doctor Alchemy has probably been trying to connect with him as early as that time.

“The Flash” Season 3, episode 6, entitled “Shade,” airs Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
