It’s finally happening, “Game of Thrones” fans — after confirming in Season 6 that R + L does, in fact, equal J, it seems Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen are set to come face-to-face in Season 7.

Los Siete Reinos, a Spanish-language “Game of Thrones” fan site, reported on Tuesday that the crew is gearing up for a series of on-location shoots on several Basque beaches in Spain. The blog reports that filming for the HBO series will take place at Itzurun in Zumaia, Muriola in Barrika and San Juan de Gaztelugatxe in Bermeo. Initially, some believed that the locations were being scouted as places for Daenerys’ (Emilia Clarke) men to disperse after separating into smaller groups. Los Siete Reinos now speculates that footage from all three locations will be cut together to make it appear as one. The “Game of Thrones” fan site suggests that the location may be Dragonstone, an ancient city the Targaryens once called home.

Additionally, Los Siete Reinos reported that Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow, will be flying out to Basque in the coming weeks. This has brought about a lot of speculation that Jon and Daenerys will meet for the first time since it came to light that they are related. It is not clear what the nature of their meeting may be should it happen. Filming is set to kick off in coastal Spain on Wednesday, Oct. 26.

News of a potential first meeting between Daenerys and Jon is made especially interesting following recent speculation that the Stark siblings will be reunited in the upcoming season. While it was revealed to viewers in the Season 6 finale that Jon is half Targaryen, the only character in the show currently aware of his true bloodline is Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright). The youngest living Stark boy has been separated from his siblings since the show’s earliest seasons and, as such, has not been able to communicate this information with his brother.

Wright was recently spotted on set sharing a trailer with Maisie Williams — who plays sister Arya Stark — which left “Game of Thrones” fans buzzing about the possibility of a Stark sibling reunion and what that could mean for the show. Spoiler group Watchers on the Wall then reported that Harrington was due to appear on the same set for filming later that same day, which further fanned the flames. There are a number of theories about how it could happen if it does, in fact, happen, but nothing is confirmed at this time.

Whether or not Bran shares with Jon the truth about his parents, “Game of Thrones” fans should expect to learn more about the R + L = J theory and Rhaegar Targaryen in general in Season 7. There has been some speculation that the mysterious character will appear for the first time in the upcoming season and who may be playing him. In September, reports began circulating that Devin Oliver, singer of the popular song “I See Stars,” had been cast as Jon’s father. The rumors began due largely in part to a post on Instagram that showed the musician sporting platinum blonde hair while wielding a bow and arrow. He is seen standing across from a mystery woman. While the photo raised a lot of questions, it was the caption that really got Thronies buzzing. In it Oliver wrote that he “may or may not” have landed a role in the seventh season of “Game of Thrones.”

Reddit user E-Nezzer grabbed the photo, starting a thread in which he listed the many reasons it made perfect sense that HBO would cast Oliver. The forum user wrote that Oliver would be a good fit for the role due to his hair color and singing abilities, noting that Rhaegar is said to have been quite the singer in “A Song of Ice and Fire” novels. Another user added that he famously sang “a song at Harrenhall [SIC] that brought tears to Lyanna’s eyes.”

Fans of the wildly popular HBO series will have to wait until 2017 to find out for sure who will come together in Season 7 of “Game of Thrones.”
