Russian state-run energy majors Gazprom and Rosneft said on Saturday they would expand supplies to Asia but the Asian markets would not displace Europe as the main outlet for their oil and gas.

Europe is market number one for Gazprom, Alexei Miller, chief executive of Russian gas export monopoly Gazprom told the Valdai discussion group of Russia experts.

Asia consumers will not become the number 1, said Rosneft's Chief Executive Sergei Bogdanchikov.
