George Clooney reportedly found wife Amal Alamuddin “intimidating.” The Oscar winner revealed in a recent interview with Access Hollywood he was overawed by her when he first asked her out on a date.

“She's an incredibly warm, wonderful person so it's always intimidating. I think everyone gets intimidated," Clooney told the website as he gushed about his lawyer wife. The two were friends before they started dating, and from the very beginning Clooney found her “extraordinary.” The actor also said it took him “three days” to realize that he wanted to marry her.

Moreover, the actor also revealed some interesting details about married life. He said his wife isn't happy about him watching sports. “I got her into March Madness a little. I'm a huge Kentucky fan, so she got into that, but it was enough,” he said. The beautiful lawyer reportedly likes to spend her evenings listening to music.

The couple married last September. Their close family and friends attended their three-day wedding extravaganza in Venice, Italy. For her wedding Alamuddin wore an exquisite Oscar de la Renta gown, which had intricate beads and crystal detailing and a long circular train. Regarding her choice of the gown, the 37-year-old revealed to Vogue she and Clooney wanted a “romantic” and “elegant” wedding and her gown fitted the tone.

Meanwhile, Clooney wore a custom made Armani tuxedo for his big day. Since getting married the couple have gone on various dates. They recently celebrated his 54th birthday at their Los Angeles home. Some of their close friends, including Cindy Crawford, Randy Gerber and Grant Heslov, attended the private bash.

The menu consisted of sushi and omakese. According to a source to People, the Clooneys had a great time and were also seen “talking and kissing.” For the party, the pair kept it causal. She wore a white top and jeans; he donned a leather jacket and jeans.
