Internet users reported that Google's Gmail service was down for at least a few minutes on Wednesday morning around 10:45 a.m. EDT.

However Google's Apps Status Dashboard showed no issues on Wednesday on Gmail or any of the company's applications.

Service monitoring website DownRightNow.com said the last widespread service disruption in the Gmail service took place at 10:53 a.m.

An IBTimes attempt to connect to the service was unsuccessful, although by about 10;51 a.m., the service seemed to be working properly.

On Twitter, users immediately voiced their questions, asking others if the service was working.

ack, gmail went down, wrote Twitter user webRat at about at about 10:42 a.m. ET.

I'm getting nothing ... Is Gmail down? wrote user agrinavich.

Others said it wasn't just Gmail, but Google as well.

GMail looks fine but I can't get to Google.com itsel, wrote jfernandez.

Actually, looks like all google apps are down, wrote UVaGooner.

Once it was back, however one person expressed relief.

Yes - back up now, though. It was a rough couple minutes!
