Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy will look down on Tiger Woods after the latest world rankings placed him in a career-best sixth place.

Though neither of them played in the week, the 21-year-old Irishman and the 14-times major winner Woods exchanged places in the standings.

McIlroy will set about defending his Wells Fargo Championship in in Charlotte, North Carolina on Thursday though he won't compete with Woods as the American will miss the tournament with an injury.
