American Horror Story” screenwriter and producer Ryan Murphy had added an Oscar-winning actress to the cast of his new TV show, “Feud.” The eight-episode mini-series, airing on FX, already boasts a star-studded cast, with Jessica Lange playing Joan Crawford and Susan Sarandon playing Betty Davis.

Now, Oscar-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones has joined the cast as Oscar-winning actress Olivia de Havilland, People reports. De Havilland is a friend of Davis’. “Feud” will explore the infamous rivalry between Crawford and Davis during the filming of the 1962 psychological thriller movie, “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?”

Each season of “Feud” will chronicle a new rivalry. Murphy announced Zeta-Jones’ casting on Twitter.

This is the first time in 20 years that the 46-year-old Academy Award winner will return to the small screen. The brunette Welsh actress was last seen on TV in 1996 in the mini-series “Titanic,” TVGuide reports. She also hasn’t been seen on the big screen in a long time.

So, who is Olivia de Havilland – the character that Zeta-Jones will be portraying? Although several people in the film industry are well-aware of the “Gone With The Wind” star, here are some interesting facts about the veteran actress:

1. She celebrated her 100th birthday in July this year

On July 1, de Havilland celebrated her 100th birthday. She is one of few actresses still alive from the Golden Age of Hollywood and the only surviving major cast member of “Gone With The Wind,” according to IMDb.

2. Olivia de Havilland has acted in 49 feature films

The celebrated and award-winning actress has won two Oscars, two Golden Globes, two New York Film Critics Circle Awards and a National Board of Review Award for Best Actress. Her acting career spans 46 years.

3. She has received the Medal of Arts from President George W. Bush

A ceremony was held at the White House when she received the medal in 2008.

Along with Zeta-Jones, Lange and Sarandon, “Feud” will also stars Alfred Molina as the director of “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane,” Stanley Tucci as studio executive Jack Warner, Judy Davis as gossip columnist Hedda Hopper and Dominic Burgess as Crawford and Davis’ co-star Victor Buono.

The TV series will air in 2017 on FX.
