With 2011 coming to a close and no new Twilight film in near sight, superfans of another popular book series have something to look forward to: less than 100 days until the film adaptation of The Hunger Games comes out in theaters, plus a new poster for their viewing pleasure.

The movie, starring Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen and Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, will come out March 23. The poster was recently released in 100 puzzle pieces by Lionsgate, and assembled by fans. The final picture features Katniss with her back to the viewer and looking up at screen images of herself and Peeta.

Fans took to Twitter to express their enthusiasm over the new artwork.

I can already tell, I will be engrossed in this movie, one woman tweeted.

The Hunger Games trilogy and the Twilight saga are two completely different franchises, but Lawrence noted that both have something major in common: a devoted fan base.

I think the reach is very similar, Lawrence said in an interview with Access Hollywood. Very popular books with a very large fan base so I think the size of it is very familiar to 'Twilight.'

Hutcherson talked about some of the more challenging aspects of filming.

Physically and emotionally there were challenges, he said in an interview with Celebuzz. I was laying in the river bed when Katniss finds me and I'm covered in moss and all that. That was tough because I had to literally lay there for almost two hours and not move while in this full body make up that was really intense and it looks incredible. That was very tiring physically.

Hutcherson, who, as Peeta, plays the son of a baker, also revealed his own cooking skills.

I'm more of a grill master, he said. I do the grilling. Being from Kentucky, like, the barbecue. That's more up my alley.
