With the mid-November launch of Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), we are getting more and more details on the new mobile operating system.

The OS will marry Android-powered tablets and mobile phones, which used to run two separate OSes. The Samsung's Galaxy Nexus will be the first phone to feature the new ICS, which releases Nov. 10.

Android already has a good chunk of the market share; about 43 percent compared to Apple iOS' 28 percent, according to market research firm Nielsen.

The new Android 4.0 OS has plenty of new features to help them maintain their distance from Apple. It may have taken a few cues from previous iOS versions, but Apple has also taken a few pages out of the Android book. All is fair in love and the mobile phone wars.

Here are the top 10 new features coming in ICS that will help them in the battle with iOS 5.
