Robert Buckley as Major
The “Inside iZombie” featurette for Season 3, episode 6 of the CW series reveals that Major’s (Robert Buckley) memory is still intact after he took the zombie cure at the end of last week’s episode. The CW

Major (Robert Buckley) is back to being human in tonight’s Season 3, episode 6 of “iZombie.”

In the “Inside iZombie” featurette for the upcoming episode, Major happily tells Liv (Rose McIver) that he’s a human again after taking the zombie cure at the end of last episode.

“Liv, you hear that? The cure works, I’m a human again!” Major tells his former fiancée in a sneak peek included in the featurette.

While Major’s transformation back to being human is expected, what is unusual about his condition after he took the cure is the fact that his memory has not yet been wiped off. “He’s a human again and he’s loving it,” McIver says of Major’s disposition after taking the cure. “But what seems strange is his memory is still intact, and Liv and Ravi (Rahul Kohli) are worried that they’re gonna slipping again.”

Blaine (David Anders) took the same cure last season and eventually had a partial memory loss. But why is Major’s memory still intact after taking the cure? Does this mean Blaine is just faking his amnesia? Or does the cure’s side effect simply take a little longer to manifest in Major’s case?

Also in tonight’s episode, Liv helps Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) solve the murder of an irresponsible narcissist by consuming the victim’s brain. But it seems that Liv only becomes more of a distraction than an aide to the police detective after eating the said brain.

“This week’s brain is a total disaster … a drama queen,” Goodwin says of the featured brain of the episode. “This girl was a hot mess. So here we are in time where so much is going on, and Clive and Ravi really need Liv to be on top of things, but hot mess DJ-brain Liv can’t keep it together.”

“Yeah, she was messy, self-centered, dramatic, kinda scatterbrained, usually late with rent,” a woman who seems to be close to the victim tells Liv and Clive in the featurette. “ It was like a real-life soap opera play out in front of you.”

In the trailer for the episode, Liv and Clive also visit the victim’s go-to club, in which a man who appears to be working there tells the crime-solving duo that the victim is “annoying” and “always flirting.”

During Comic Book Resources’ visit to the Vancouver set of “iZombie,” McIver said that the “hot mess” brain is one of her favorite brains this season. The actress said that the personality that comes with the said brain is in the vein of Amy Schumer’s “Trainwreck” character. “[She] can’t remember where she’s left anything, hasn’t got anything together,” McIver said of her character after consuming the “hot mess” brain. “I didn’t expect that to be as easy to play as it was! It’s been a confronting season.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Peyton (Aly Michalka) learns some shocking news. It’s unclear what exactly this news is, but since Peyton has been spending most of her time with Blaine, it’s possible that it may have something to do with him.

“iZombie” Season 3, episode 6, titled “Some Like It Hot Mess,” airs tonight at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
