Jessica Chastain is completely unrecognizable on the cover of W magazine for its November issue. The actress, who is known for her classic Hollywood style, traded her signature auburn locks for a less subtle shade of hot pink. The 38-year-old has undergone a complete punk makeover for her new cover gig.

The high fashion shoot was done by photographer Steven Klein, while the actress was styled by none other than the magazine’s fashion and style director Edward Enninful. She channelled a "creepy gothic heroine" with her bright red locks and blunt stark-white pompadour, with an equally bold lip and deep black eyebrows.

Chastain opted for a deep pink outfit by Saint Laurent, designed by Hedi Slimane. The fitted bodysuit featured a turtle neckline and was embellished with black and white rings. It also featured long sleeves with embellishments also on the sleeves.

Both the sides of the shoulders and the mid-section had black and white featured detailing. The dress was sheer and showed off her undergarments. For the inside spread, Chastain also wore outfits from Proenza Schouler and Atelier Versace. Her edgy jewelry is from Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci, which consisted of a rosary necklace and earrings.

For beauty, the actress relied on frosty eye makeup, bold black painted-on brows and a matching raspberry lipstick. The cover picture shows the "Crimson Peak" actress in a black lace lingerie-style outfit. This shot also show Chastain accessorizing with a matching rosary ring, blue eyes and her finger inside her mouth.

In a second shot, the actress sports ripped up stockings, an oversized leather jacket, studded open-toed platforms and a blonde pixie cut. In the fourth picture, she wears a lace floral halter top.

Chastain, who shot to fame with "The Tree of Life" in 2011, said that she still has one goal to fulfil. "People ask me if I want to be a Bond girl, and I say, 'No, I want to be the villain' I’m waiting for that call!" The actress recounted the time back in 2011, when it was her first time at the Met Gala and she tagged along with her co-stars Sean Penn and Brad Pitt.
