The fans have spoken. Following a recent poll in the IBTimes article "Johnny Depp Warned By Angelina Jolie Not To Marry Amber Heard, Advised To Get A Prenup: Report," in which we asked: “Is Amber Heard marrying Johnny Depp for the right reasons?” fans of the veteran actor have stepped forward, accusing his fiancée of using him for her own personal gain, with some even going so far as to call her a “gold digger.”

As of Wednesday morning, a whopping 73 percent (540 votes) agreed that Heard, 27, is just “using” the 50-year-old “Pirates of the Caribbean” film star. Only 27 percent (205 votes) participants voted in favor of the “3 Days to Kill" actress, claiming that they believe she “loves” Depp and is marrying him for all the right reasons.

“I think Depp is going through a mid-life crisis and that this union is doomed to fail,” said one fan, later adding, “Nothing good can come from this.” “The ONLY talent [Amber Heard] has is for f--king Johnny Depp,” said another colorful poll participant.

Depp fans have also taken to a separate IBTimes article on the couple’s relationship to slam Heard. “Goldigging slag [sic],” commented one Depp fan. “Amber Heard is the epitome of a gold digging opportunist. And Johnny Depp, what a huge disappointment,” said another, who also accused Heard of accepting Depp's proposal for her own financial gain, saying, “She decides on her sexual preference according to bank account size.”

While most of Depp’s fans may not welcome his impending nuptials to Heard, his longtime friend, Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler, appears to be supportive of their union. “I love that he’s in love,” Tyler told Entertainmentwise after attending the couple’s secretive engagement soirée in Los Angeles lasy Friday. “We were all dancing and it was beautiful,” the rocker later told photographers.

Depp and Heard, who have yet to officially confirm their engagement, were exposed by sources to People back in January, an insider telling the magazine that the pair “couldn’t be happier to be engaged.” Days before the report, the couple sparked engagement rumors after Heard was photographed sporting a diamond sparkler on her engagement finger.

Depp and Heard met on the set of the 2011 film “The Rum Diary.” The couple was last rumored to be prepping to tying the knot on Depp’s private Little Hall’s Pond Cay Island in the Bahamas. “They’re having a small intimate ceremony barefoot on the beach,” said an insider. "Neither Johnny nor Amber want a big, glitzy, Hollywood bash. They are both very private.”
