Joy Duggar Is Still On Her Honeymoon One Month After Marrying Austin Forsyth

Joy Duggar and Austin Forsyth are not done with their honeymoon just yet. More than one month after tying the knot in their home state of Arkansas, the “Counting On” stars are continuing their whirlwind post-wedding getaway.

The Duggar Family Blog reports that their most recent stop took them to Israel. “The newlyweds spent their one-month anniversary, which was yesterday, at the Sea of Galilee,” the blog, which is run by family friends of the Duggars, posted to their blog Tuesday. The update included a shot of Joy, 19, and Austin, 23, posting side-by-side nearby the sea at sunset.

The couple’s honeymoon initially took them to Switzerland where they enjoyed sight-seeing and other adventurous outings. “Austin had always wanted to visit Switzerland and Joy agreed that it would be a lovely place to spend their first days as a married couple,” the blog wrote at the time.

Joy and Austin even took a moment away from their trip of lifetime to talk about their vacation in a TLC.com video. “We are so excited to just be taking this trip as newlyweds,” Joy said while enjoying a stop in Geneva, Switzerland. “We chose Switzerland because we knew that it was very beautiful. We had seen a lot of pictures and Austin’s really wanted to come here for awhile.”

Austin said he was most looking forward to skiing and taking in the sights. “I think I’ll always remember this being our first trip out of the country together and it will just have special memories.” he said.

Joy initially kept her honeymoon location a secret from not only viewers, but family members as well. “I think the honeymoon is going to be really, really special, just getting to spend that time together. I don’t even know where they’re going, honestly, but I know it’s going to be exciting,” Joy’s sister Jessa Seewald admitted in a video following her little sibling’s May 26 wedding.

“Getting to travel together, make memories together, take lots of pictures and document your travels and your journeys. This is the beginning of your life together,” Jessa added.

Joy has missed quite a bit since being on her honeymoon. While her siblings released videos wishing their father Jim Bob Duggar a Happy Father’s Day earlier this month, the family did not post one from Joy. The newlywed Duggar daughter also appeared to miss out on sister-in-law Anna Duggar’s birthday and Derick and Jill’s wedding anniversary.

Austin and Joy wed in front of TLC viewers on June 12 as part of the “Counting On” 2C season premiere. The following episodes went back in time to reveal the final days of their courtship and an upcoming installment will show Austin’s proposal to Joy.

As for what’s next for Joy and Austin, it appears they have plans to build their own home and start a family.
