If rumors are to believed then France and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is on his for London-based football giant Arsenal for £25 million ($41 million).

Galacticos manager Jose Mourinho has decided to make a move for Manchester City captain Carlos Tevez after losing out on Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero, who completed a transfer move to Manchester City for £38 million ($62 million).

Tevez, 27, previously had made his intentions of leaving City very clear this summer as he wanted to be closer to his family. A transfer bid worth £40 million ($65 million) from Corinthians had already fallen previously and the Argentine has been trying to strike a deal with Italian giant Inter Milan since.

Inter, however, has shown no interest in the Argentine as they are unable to meet the player’s demands and making Real the sole competitor in the race.

Real is hoping that the deal with Arsenal for Benzema will be successful and will finance the move of Tevez to Madrid that will see both Ronaldo and Tevez in the same team since their days in Manchester United.

Arsenal, however, will be able to finance the Benzema deal if Captain Cesc Fabregas completes a £40million move to Barcelona, according to a Caughtoffside report.

Benzema, 23, started his senior career with French club Olympique Lyonnais where he made 112 appearances and managed to find the back of the net 43 times. The Frenchman completed a £36 million ($59 million) move to Real Madrid in 2009 where he has scored 23 goals in 60 games.
