Katherine Webb may not be the only famous woman in University of Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron’s life.
Webb, McCarron’s famous girlfriend, recently teamed up with his mother, Dee Dee Bonner, to appear on the cover of Access magazine’s September Fall and Fashion Issue, AL.com reports. The two women are identified as “A.J. McCarron’s girls” in an accompanying caption.
Webb reportedly posed alongside Bonner for the Access cover magazine shoot in July, AL.com reports. Besides the image of McCarron’s girlfriend and mother holding hands, the two women apparently posed next to several of Alabama’s top high school football players. In one shot, Fairhope, Ala., high school quarterback Grey Jackson was tasked with holding Webb up on his shoulders.
“It was funny to see Grey trying to hold Katherine up,” Jackson’s teammate, Nick Patti, told AL.com. “I wouldn’t have had any problem with that at all.”
Access magazine’s interview with Webb and Bonner will reportedly touch on the subjects of “name-calling, rumors, and fame,” according to the magazine’s cover. “I just wish people knew my heart. I’m not self-obsessed,” Webb told Access.
McCarron’s mother and girlfriend each took to Twitter to discuss their Access magazine cover shoot. “Cover with my girl [Katherine Webb] [heart] you,” Bonner tweeted on Wednesday. Webb retweeted the post.
Webb and Bonner first appeared in the public eye during the 2013 BCS National Championship, played between McCarron’s Alabama Crimson Tide and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. During the broadcast, 74-year-old Brent Musburger spent more than a minute praising Webb and Bonner’s looks. “I’m telling you, you quarterbacks, you get all the good-looking women. What a beautiful woman,” Musburger said on the national broadcast. Since that game, Webb and Bonner have been spotted together on more than one occasion.
Still, Webb isn’t famous simply for being McCarron’s girlfriend. The 24-year-old is a former Miss Alabama USA, and modeled in the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
