One of Mick’s greatest fear will be revealed in Season 3, episode 2 of CW’s “Legends of Tomorrow.”

The episode finds the Legends visiting a circus in the 1800s, and according to Dominic Purcell, his character, Mick, isn’t going to have a hard time blending in.

“Without giving too much away, he fits in — trust me,” Purcell told ComicBook.com of Mick, aka Heat Wave. “It’s a hysterical episode, and let me put it this way: Mick is scared of something you wouldn’t believe Mick Rory is scared of.”

While Purcell didn’t reveal the exact thing from the circus that scares Mick, the show’s Season 3 trailer released at San Diego Comic-Con last July suggests that the heat gun-wielding Legend is afraid of clowns. At around the 30-second mark of the promo clip, Mick screams, “Die, clown!” before running towards a clown with a mallet in tow.

Episode 2, titled “Freakshow,” also marks the debut appearance of Billy Zane as P.T. Barnum, the founder of Barnum & Bailey Circus.

“I’ve wanted to bring Billy onto ‘Legends’ every since I saw him in a friend’s comedy pilot,” executive producer Phil Klemmer told Entertainment Weekly last June. “I’m not sure that people know how funny Billy is. We cast him as P.T. Barnum because we knew that he would be able to find the soul beneath the larger-than-life showman.”

Although the phrase “there’s a sucker born every minute” is closely associated with Barnum, Klemmer said that Barnum never coined that saying. “He was less a conman, more the father of modern advertising,” Klemmer said of Barnum who was best remembered for promoting celebrated hoaxes. “[He’s] a guy who made things ‘go viral’ before that was a thing. Sure, in one sense, he’s the villain of our story, but in another, he’s just a guy who wants to put on a good show. Anyone who works in TV can relate to that, right?! Anyway, Billy seemed like the perfect guy to get that duality.”

The episode is also a reunion of sorts between Zane and series regular Victor Garber, who were both part of the cast of the 1997 film “Titanic.”

“It was great — it was so much fun,” Garber told ComicBook.com last July of working with Zane again after so many years. “I actually only knew he was doing it when I walked up to the production office and saw the cast photos on the wall and was going one by one, wondering if I knew anybody form this episode — and there he was, and I was thrilled to see him!”

“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 3 premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
