Sara will be driven by guilt in Season 3 of “Legends of Tomorrow.”

In a featurette teasing the much-anticipated return of the CW series, Caity Lotz said that next season will find Sara coping with the ramifications of her decision last season to go back to an event in the past she and her fellow Legends had already participated in.

“In the season premiere Sara is dealing with the consequences of the decision that she made at the end of Season 2, which basically left them having broken time,” Lotz said. “In her defense, I don’t think she had much of a choice. It was that or living Doomworld. But [it resulted in] a lot of problems that affect everybody. [And] she’s feeling the weight of that.”

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly that Sara’s “responsibility for all the anachronisms that they are dealing with” is one of the things that will be addressed over the new season.

On the flip side, this feeling of guilt will push Sara to be a better leader of the Legends. “She’s found her place as the captain of the Waverider, so unlike last season where it was a little bit of a learning curve, she’s happy to be the captain [in Season 3],” Guggenheim said.

On the romantic front, Guggenheim and his fellow executive producer Phil Klemmer revealed during the show’s panel at the San Diego Comic-Con last July that Sara will get a new love interest in Season 3. “It’s definitely time for Sara to settle down, or at least have a relationship that’s more than a roll in the hay,” Klemmer said (via Comic Book Resources). “It’s hard when you’re travelling through time.”

“It’s definitely been a priority of ours to reestablish Sara’s bisexuality in Season 3,” Guggenheim added. “It’s a big, important thing for us this year.”

Shortly after the panel, Guggenheim revealed on Twitter that Sara’s new love interest is someone that viewers have yet to meet.

Since “Legends of Tomorrow” premiered in 2016, Sara has had flings with different characters. In Season 2 alone, Sara has made out with the Queen of France and King Arthur’s wife Guinevere (Elyse Levesque).

“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 3 premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
